Balchik boasts with an impressive botanical garden, unique in Central and Eastern Europe for his collection of cacti, the largest and richest garden in the Balkans. The garden has over 2,500 plants, some very rare, where students from the University of
Sofia come for hours of practice. Garden which is called Tenha Yuva (Quiet Nest) is an oasis of calm and relaxation for many people who either live in Balchik is just passing.
Balchik offers multiple possibilities of accommodation in hotels stretching along the coast, at affordable prices (eg, accommodation in a double room at the Hotel Lotos, cost about 20 euros per night). The most famous hotels are Hotel Balchik, Dionlsopolis
Hotel and Elite Hotel. Tourists can opt for camping which is a short distance from Balchik. There are two variants in this regard, namely Sandrino Camping and Bryag Belyiat Camping.
Hotels in Balchik organized, usually near sightseeing trips to town. You can choose a trip to Cape Kaliakra, whose price is, in total, about 5 Euro.
Payments are made in national currency, the lev. It is preferable to carry your cash euro or U.S. dollars, which to change them in leva in a larger city (eg, Varna), to benefit from a more advantageous way.
