Chepelare is a favorite vacation destination for many people throughout the year. In summer tourists can enjoy hiking, horse riding and various other outdoor activities. Winter is famous with the satisfying snowfall which guarantees the ski and snowboard lovers lots of fun.
Almost 38 years after the first race in 1970 ďż˝Chepelare Cupďż˝ in 2008 Chepelare resort tourists welcomed nearly 20 km ski slopes. Existing ski slopes were well prepared and labeled in accordance with European standards.
One of the main ski center is for advanced skiers. It stretches over a length of 3250 m., And is equipped with 47, best snow guns produced by Franco-American company Johnson Controls. This would allow the track with artificial snow cover within 100 hours air temperature -3 C.
Intermediate skiers preferred by tourists is 6 km. length. For everyone with a sense of adventure Chepelare offers slopes with deep snow.
Chepelare is the first resort in Bulgaria, with free wireless internet broadcast ski area.
Available for winter sports lovers is a modern lift with 4 chairs, with a capacity of 2000 people per hour. It covers 2700 meters away from each Chepelare town of Mechi Chal to the top in just 9 minutes. Lift line was built by the French company Pomagalski.
For the first time in Bulgaria here uses a special tourist entrance designed by the Austrian company.
This will allow access to the lift smoothly, even during peak hours of the day.
