Kmetovtsi village is situated at the foot of the Balkan Mountains in the central-northern Bulgaria, with the city of Gabrovo. It is located 8 km away from downtown and 32 km from Gabrovo town of Veliko Tarnovo.

The village is located at an altitude of 300-499 m above sea level and covers an area of 17.37 square kilometers and the population is 26 inhabitants (census 01/01/2007).

Kmetovtsi Village is located 7 km east of the town of Gabrovo, Gabrovo is the way and complex relationship between ethnographic Bozhentsi. Kmetovtsi is the administrative center of several villages, including Bozhentsi.

The village is crossed by a river bed, called Bozhana, which separates it into two parts. The village is surrounded by forests of pines, oaks, beeches and elms.
