Kostenkovtsi Village is located in the central-northern Bulgaria. Part of Gabrovo district. It is located in a small valley between the foot of the Stara Planina and just 14 km north-east from Gabrovo. The village is situated at an altitude of 500-699 m above sea level.

The slope, which is located the village is completely oriented towards the mountain. Kostenkovci windows of houses in the village offers a spectacular panoramic view towards the Balkans. The village is very small, but beautiful houses decorated with wooden and iron decorations retains the old style.

Near the village are preserved remains of a Roman road, a Thracian fortresses, monuments to some of the revolutionaries: Hristo Botev, Philip Totyu, as well as partisan Stefka Tsonev - Bury. Kostenkovtsi Library was built in 1926, and the school was built in 1925.
