Razlog (Bulgaria: Razlog) is a town and ski resort in Razlog municipality, Blagoevgrad district in southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Razlog Valley and was first mentioned during the reign of Byzantine emperor Basil II.
Between 1894-1896, during his trip in the region of Macedonia, Bulgaria Vasil Kanchov geographer visited Razlog (then known as Mehomiya, Mehomia), and reported that the number 820 households out of which 500 Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox, 300 The Muslim Bulgarians (Pomacea), 16 of Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Protestant and five for a total population of about 4620.
